The library supports education and research at the university by collecting, managing and providing the academic information resources the university requires. In addition to collecting, organizing and lending books and journals, the library provides reference and ILL services. The library is equipped with audiovisual booths, information terminals, wireless LAN and other features, providing an environment where users can source materials and information from a variety of media.
In addition to providing OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), e-journals, e-books, databases, and other electronic materials online, the library stores and disseminates journal articles, bulletin papers and other academic achievements of Saitama University researchers through SUCRA (Saitama University Cyber Repository of Academic Resources).
The library also contributes to the local community by allowing the general public to view and borrow materials.
